US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Iran fulfilled its pledge, launching coordinated retaliatory drone and ballistic missile strikes on United States military bases and regional critical infrastructure across the Middle East. The ongoing conflict escalated as both sides traded consecutive waves of attacks. The Islamic Republic vowed to target infrastructure across the broader region, including power plants, bridges, and regional oil tankers, following extensive American military strikes on Iranian territory, including its nuclear facilities and maritime capabilities.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Iran Vows Retaliatory Strikes on US

Iran has pledged a “superior” and “devastating” response that would crush critical infrastructure across the Middle East if the United States carries out threats to target Iranian infrastructure.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: US-Iran Escalation

This diplomatic and rhetorical standoff coincides with a sharp collapse of the June 2026 interim ceasefire agreement. Following threats by U.S. President Donald Trump to target internal Iranian civilian assets, such as desalination facilities, bridges, and electric grids, the conflict has translated into active, heavy military exchanges.

The U.S. military has conducted consecutive nights of heavy airstrikes targeting Iranian command centres, coastal radar installations, and drone storage facilities to secure freedom of navigation. Simultaneously, Iran has already begun executing parts of its regional strategy by launching waves of ballistic missiles and explosive drones at U.S. military assets and allied host infrastructure across Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Nuclear Pretext and “Kuh-e Kolang”

The latest escalations were triggered by U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats to bomb “Kuh-e Kolang” (Pickaxe Mountain), a heavily fortified underground facility near Natanz suspected of being an undeclared Iranian nuclear enrichment site.

In direct response, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued an ultimatum stating that any strike on its nuclear or sensitive facilities would instantly expand the war to the entire region. Tehran warned that all U.S. assets and those of its allies would become active targets.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Operation Epic Fury & 11th Night of U.S. Strikes

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has concluded its 11th consecutive night of heavy aerial bombardment under “Operation Epic Fury”.

  • The Strategy: The U.S. has adopted a “tit-for-tat” infrastructure policy. President Trump declared the U.S. will “bomb and destroy one Iranian bridge or power plant” for every single commercial ship Iran hits in the Strait of Hormuz.

  • Damage in Iran: U.S. airstrikes have disabled several bridges in the southern Hormozgan province, severed critical fiber-optic communication networks between mainland Iran and Qeshm and Kharg islands, and severely crippled the power grid in the south amidst extreme summer heat. A major control tower at the strategic Chabahar port was also destroyed.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Expanded Iranian Regional Retaliation

Executing its threats, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has significantly expanded the battlefield, launching dozens of successive strike waves, utilising Qadr, Emad, and hypersonic Fattah ballistic missiles, against regional host nations:

  • Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain: Iranian missiles directly targeted the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, and Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait. Collateral damage has severely affected Gulf infrastructure, including an oil facility and a desalination plant in Kuwait.

  • Jordan and the UAE: The Jordanian Armed Forces have been actively intercepting multi-pronged drone and missile volleys over their airspace, while Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE has also come under direct fire.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Geopolitical and Economic Fallout

The Pentagon estimates that the active war with Iran has already cost the United States $37.5 billion, with the number of wounded U.S. military personnel climbing past 500.

Global oil markets have reacted sharply to the instability, with Brent crude surging past $92 a barrel. Meanwhile, seeing a broader opportunity to disrupt maritime choke points, the Houthi movement in Yemen has declared an aligned blockade over the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
