US Israel Iran War Latest News: Iran has warned the United States of “unforgettable lessons” after a US strike in southern Iran reportedly killed four people, including a child, and injured more than 50 others during a wedding celebration. The Iranian Red Crescent said shrapnel from a US missile struck a residential home in Kuhestak city in Sirik county, Hormozgan province, where a wedding was taking place. “Following a US missile attack, shrapnel hit a residential home in the city of Kuhestak, in Sirik county of Hormozgan province, where a wedding celebration was taking place,” the Red Crescent said in a post on X.
“More than 50 people were injured and four people, including a young child, were martyred,” it added. Footage released by an Iranian government-linked account showed extensive debris and damage at the location identified as the wedding site. People could also reportedly be heard screaming in the background. Kuhestak is located near the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, a major global route for oil shipments and commercial shipping.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei condemned the latest US strikes and warned Washington that Iran and its allies would respond. “The dear nation of Iran and the resistance front have unforgettable lessons for the American enemy”, Khamenei said, according to the Tasnim News Agency.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also threatened retaliation. IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebi warned Washington that “will regret its new attacks”, adding that severe punishment awaits the aggressors. The warnings came as fighting intensified around the Strait of Hormuz and across parts of the Middle East.

Iran subsequently launched missile and drone attacks targeting US-linked positions in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan. The IRGC also said it carried out a coordinated missile and drone attack on US bases in Erbil in Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region.
The Revolutionary Guards claimed that the Erbil strikes destroyed a maintenance centre, warehouses and the “guidance system of a US surveillance aerostat”. In Jordan, the IRGC said it launched an “intense ballistic missile attack” against a US Marine Corps base.
Jordan’s military said it intercepted 10 ballistic missiles fired from Iran. It reported no confirmed casualties or direct hits on the US training facility, while three other missiles landed in remote areas. Missile and drone activity was also reported in Kuwait, while Bahrain activated its air defences amid reports of incoming drones. US officials said there were no confirmed American casualties from the Iranian attacks, while some Iranian claims about damage and casualties remained unverified.

Washington has maintained that its latest military operations targeted Iranian Revolutionary Guard and military assets rather than civilians. US President Donald Trump said the attacks were carried out in response to Iran’s failed attempt at adding sea mines to the Strait and the launch of eight missiles at a US military facility in Jordan. The US has also reportedly struck two Iranian government tankers under a new “tanker for tanker” policy as part of a wider operation targeting Iranian military and maritime capabilities.
