US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: Israel has strongly resisted calls for any immediate pulling out of its troops from Gaza regardless of the latest proposed ceasefire that has been endorsed by President Donald Trump of the US. Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu has said clearly that Israel’s forces would not withdraw until Hamas gives up all its arms and cannot attack any more. This move clearly shows how suspicious both parties are towards each other.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: Israel Links Military Exit to Hamas Disarmament

The Israeli government claims that it will pose a serious security threat for Israel to pull out troops before Hamas gets disarmed completely. As per the Israeli government, Hamas is building its military infrastructure by recruiting fighters, repairing underground tunnels and acquiring weapons. The Israeli government fears that any military withdrawal at this stage can make Hamas reign again and launch another attack like the one launched on October 7, 2023.

“Our assessment is that if we redeploy before Hamas is truly disarmed, it will quickly expand its presence throughout Gaza, rebuild its terrorist infrastructure, once again threaten Israeli communities, and seek to carry out another Oct. 7-style attack,” he said.

“Disarming means physically giving up the weapons. Nothing less,” he added.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: Trump’s Ceasefire Proposal Faces a Major Challenge

The US-sponsored plan for a ceasefire is laid out on the lines of a road map that seeks to bring to an end months of conflict. Under this plan, there is surrender of weapons by Hamas, destruction of tunnels, evacuation of Israeli forces, establishment of a Palestinian technocrat-led administration, deployment of an international security force and rebuilding of Gaza in the long run however, these cannot happen without Hamas’s total disarmament.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: Gaza Humanitarian Crisis Continues to Deepen

Humanitarian concerns still remain very grim with over 2 million people reside in Gaza where much of the area has been destroyed. The Israeli military is still controlling over 60 percent of Gaza, while there are many displaced people living in overcrowded and makeshift shelter camps. Rebuilding efforts have been on hold due to ongoing negotiations about security arrangements.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: Recovery of Victims Highlights the Cost of War

The human cost of the war is rising steadily. Palestinian emergency crews have just found the bodies of 112 people, 40 of whom were children, buried under the ruins of an air strike that occurred in the city of Gaza in November 2023 at the Sabra neighbourhood and 157 more people are expected to be still buried under the rubble of the collapsed buildings.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: Whats Next in Ongoing Conflict

Israel’s call for full Hamas disarmament is based on its own security concerns in the wake of the October 7, 2023, attack in which 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were held hostage. Meanwhile, the humanitarian situation in Gaza cries out for international help as well. Long-term peace might be dependent on much more than military success or political agreements. Security assurances, humanitarian aid, good governance and diplomacy from regional and international players might all be needed. A ceasefire that doesn’t take into account all of these factors will likely be just a brief respite in a conflict that shapes the region.
