US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: The Middle East finds itself under great pressure since Israel claims that it is ready to attack Iran once more if national security warrants it. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz revealed that Israeli troops are fully prepared to start military action once more but with “greater force” since recent incidents have not ended the crisis. These threats come at a time when there are already increased tensions between the US, Iran and other regional allies.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Israel’s Military Message Grows Stronger

Katz stated at Hatzerim Air Base that the Israeli Air Force has shown their capability of striking targets from Yemen to Iran. According to Katz, there will be no second thoughts for launching an operation when the threat is perceived. The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the same stance stating that while earlier operations have made Iranian army weaker, “the war is not over yet.”

Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz said his country was prepared to attack Iran if needed, “with even greater force”.

“The army is ready and on alert for a resumption of fighting, in order to regain air superiority and strike Iran again, to eliminate threats, including a third time if necessary,” Katz said at a military ceremony at Hatzerim Air Base.

“We proved that the long arm of the Israeli Air Force can reach anywhere, from Yemen to Iran. Yet, we must also acknowledge that the campaign is not over.”

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Iran Responds With Fresh Warnings

The Islamic Republic of Iran blames the US for escalating its military activities through attacks targeting the vicinity of the Bushehr province, where Iran’s sole nuclear power plant is located. The Iranians have also been reporting attacks on three railway bridges, one of which is a main railway track connecting Tehran and Mashhad cities. The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mr. Abbas Araghi, has separately cautioned against US military action in Iran.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Global Energy Security Faces Fresh Risks

The dispute has also brought to light worries about the state of world oil resources while as estimated by international sources, about 20% of the world’s petroleum demand, equal to almost 20 million barrels per day, goes through the Strait of Hormuz. Such a disruption would raise energy prices and cause economic problems around the globe. Taking into consideration this issue, France has suggested that it may be wise to consider Syria as an alternate route for transporting Gulf oil to Europe.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Humanitarian & Regional Impact

According to the Iranian government, there were 14 fatalities and 78 wounded after the latest strikes carried out by the US, with 47 being hospitalized. The Iranian government also claimed that they had launched missiles and drones against US military bases in the Gulf region, while US officials say that the attacks did not cause any casualties or damage however, apart from the military confrontation, the civilians suffer from the aftermath as well.

The latest round of threats shows that the conflict between Israel and Iran is no longer just an issue of military actions rather, it has now become a larger security concern for the region. Being militarily ready will certainly make the state better at deterring the enemy, but it raises the chances of miscalculation. In a situation where global energy markets, international shipping lanes and regional stability are at stake, diplomacy is certainly the more viable route forward.
