US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Qatari Spokesperson Says Negotiations ‘Need More Time’
Dr Majed al-Ansari, a spokesperson of Qatar’s foreign ministry recently spoke about the negotiations between US and Iran. Al-Ansari said that Qatar appreciates how Pakistan wants to broker peace between the countries.
“We are supportive of the diplomatic effort by Pakistan that has shown seriousness in bringing parties together and finding a solution and we do believe it needs more time”, he said at a press conference in Doha but refused to elaborate.

Esmail Baghaei spoke to the media at a press conference held earlier today & spoke about the ongoing talks between Iran & Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, the ‘complexity of issue’ has prolonged talks.
“Keep in mind that insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz was imposed on us, on the region and the entire world, and the reason for that was the illegal military action of the US”, Baghaei stated. He then reassured that the finalised mechanism by Iran & Oman would ensure “both the sovereignty of the two coastal states and the safe passage of commercial ships in this region”.

US President Donald Trump gave a televised interview to conservative TV channel Fox News. During that interview, President Trump made a shocking bomb threat to Oman. “If Oman gets in the way, we’ll bomb the s*** out of them,”, he threatened. Oman shares good ties with Iran & according to multiple reports, the two countries are working on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Esmaeil Baghaei , the spokesperson of Iran’s foreign ministry shared that 2 former employees of the French embassy in Tehran won’t be allowed to return to the country. Baghaei accused both embassy employees of violating the Vienna Convention, which defines the rules and privileges of diplomatic missions.
“Insisting that these individuals were engaged in activities related to supporting civil society is itself an admission that the Vienna Convention was violated,” Baghaei said in a press conference held today. Tehran also cautioned Paris against any “illegal and interventionist interference”.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot vehemently denied all accusations & stated the 2 diplomats were managing legitimate, official cultural programmes aimed at supporting Iranian civil society, artists, and scientists .
He also accused Iranian authorities of mistreating the embassy employees by holding them hostage for four hours & allegedly assaulting one of them. Tehran has denied all mistreatment accusations. The ongoing row has caused some to wonder whether relations are starting to strain between the 2 countries.
