US Israel Iran War Latest News: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has begun high-level discussions with Pakistani officials after arriving in Islamabad. Meanwhile, US envoy Steve Witkoff and senior adviser Jared Kushner are expected to travel to Pakistan for potential peace talks. However, Iran has denied any plan for direct negotiations with the United States.

US President Donald Trump said Iran is expected to make an offer soon. “They’re making an offer and we’ll have to see,” he stated, while adding that details are still unclear. A day earlier, Trump had highlighted that uncertainty within Iran’s leadership is complicating the negotiation process.

US Envoys Pakistan Visit: White House Sees “Some Progress” in Iran Talks

The White House confirmed that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will head to Pakistan for discussions with Iran. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Iran reached out, “as the president called on them to do,” seeking in-person talks. She added that the US has “seen some progress,” though no formal proposal has been confirmed.

Iran Denies Direct Talks with US: “No Negotiations on Agenda”

Despite US claims, Iran has firmly denied any direct engagement. Reports from Iranian media state that Araghchi’s visit is “not for negotiations with the Americans but rather to discuss Iran’s considerations about ending the war with the Pakistani side.” Officials reiterated that “there are no negotiations with the Americans on the agenda.”

Iran-US Talks Confusion: Mixed Signals Raise Uncertainty

Conflicting statements from both sides have created uncertainty around the possibility of direct talks. While the US points to progress, Iran continues to deny any such plans. At the same time, ongoing clashes between Israel and Hezbollah are adding pressure to an already fragile regional situation.
