US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: US Senator Chuck Schumer Slams Trump for ‘Illegal War’
US President Doald Trump has faced a lot of flak for the ongoing Iran war from both sides of the aisle. And today, Chuck Schumer, the minority leader of the US senate joined that list.
“Donald Trump got us into an illegal war, is losing his illegal war, and has no way out of his illegal war,” Schumer wrote in a statement posted on X.
Schumer then added that “His lack of strategy, discipline, and any ability to seriously negotiate is endangering our troops and raising prices for everyday Americans. Trump’s leadership is a complete and total failure. We must end this war and begin to repair the damage he has wrought,” he added. Neither Trump nor the White House have reacted to Schumer’s allegations yet.

Israel has frequently targeted locations in Southern Lebanon throughout the course of this war. And according to a report from Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) are shelling the Ali Al Taher Hills, which are located close to the outskirts of Nabatieh city in Southern Lebanon. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far from the attack.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei recently installed multiple leaders in the armed forces, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard IRGC and the Basij security forces, after multiple top commanders were killed due to the war.
The leaders include – Ali Abdollahi (the new chief of staff of the armed forces), Kioumars Heydari (deputy chief of staff), Ahmad Vehidi (commander-in-chief of the IRGC), Mostafa Izadi (the deputy for Vehidi), Ali Ozmaei (commander of the IRGC Navy) and Hossei Taeb (Basij). Speculation over Khamenei who has avoided public appearances continues to linger, but according to Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian, the former is fine.
