US-Israel-Iran War Latest Updates: It seems the fragile peace in the Middle East is beginning to crumble once more and the president of the United States, Donald Trump, has delivered some of his most intense threats, asserting that the American army was ready to hit Iran “very hard” in response to the recent confrontations involving the Strait of Hormuz.

These comments have been made amid increasing tension among countries, fears of another war breaking out in the region and speculation about the future of the talks on curtailing Iran’s nuclear program.

During his address to journalists in the White House, Trump indicated that Washington will not hesitate to use military force against Tehran if diplomatic negotiations fail.

“We gave them a big blow yesterday and we will strike another big blow today,” Trump said, alluding to the military strikes carried out by the US against Iranian military installations.

These remarks came after American military forces struck Iran’s air defense systems, radar stations and ground command centers in retaliation for the downing of an American Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz, through which one fifth of all global oil supplies travel.

The financial markets responded instantly to Trump’s comments as US crude climbed by more than 3.5%, surpassing $91 per barrel, while the price of Brent rose above $94.

The investors pulled out of risky assets too while S&P 500 decreased by about 1%, while Nasdaq decreased by 1.4% due to concerns regarding increased instability. The energy sector experts caution that disruption of the Strait of Hormuz could have dire implications on the cost of fuels and inflation globally.
