US-Israel-Iran War Latest Update: Fresh tensions erupted in the Middle East after the Israeli military launched a strike on a Hezbollah rocket launcher in southern Lebanon, claiming the site had been used to fire projectiles toward northern Israel. The latest military action comes as the wider US-Israel-Iran conflict continues to fuel instability across the region, raising concerns about a broader regional war.

According to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), the targeted launcher was located in the Zebdin area of southern Lebanon. Israeli forces said the strike formed part of ongoing operations aimed at stopping Hezbollah attacks near the Israel-Lebanon border.

The development comes despite continued diplomatic efforts and US-backed negotiations intended to reduce cross-border violence between Israel and Hezbollah.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest Update: Israel Says Hezbollah Rocket Launcher Destroyed in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli military stated that its forces carried out a precision strike after identifying a Hezbollah launcher allegedly involved in attacks against northern Israeli areas.

Military officials said the launcher posed an immediate threat and confirmed that Israeli aircraft destroyed the site during the operation.

The Israel-Hezbollah confrontation has intensified in recent weeks, with both sides exchanging fire across the border amid fears that the Gaza conflict could expand into a larger regional war involving Iran-backed groups.

Forced Evacuation Orders Issued in Southern Lebanon

As military activity intensified, the Israeli military issued fresh displacement warnings for civilians living in several towns and villages in southern Lebanon.

In a statement shared on social media, Israeli authorities instructed residents in Shabriha, Hamideh, Zuqaq al-Mufdi, Mashouk and El Haouch to immediately leave their homes ahead of planned operations.

Residents were told to “evacuate” and move at least 1,000 metres away from the targeted zones.

The evacuation orders sparked fresh concerns about civilian safety as tensions continue to rise near the Lebanon-Israel frontier.

Ben-Gvir’s Lebanon Settlement Remarks Trigger Controversy

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir added to the controversy by making remarks supporting settlement activity in Lebanon and backing the migration of Palestinians from Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

The minister also called for ending the Areas A, B and C divisions established under the Oslo Accords. “The entire land is ours”.

The comments are likely to attract criticism from international leaders and rights organisations already concerned about the worsening humanitarian and security situation in the region.

US Commander Says Iran’s Military Capabilities Weakened

Meanwhile, senior US military officials defended recent operations carried out alongside Israel against Iranian-linked targets. Admiral Brad Cooper told US lawmakers that joint military operations involving the United States and Israel had significantly weakened Iran’s defence infrastructure and military capabilities.

The CENTCOM commander testified before the Senate as lawmakers questioned the long-term effectiveness of the campaign and its impact on regional stability. The hearings focused heavily on the extent of damage inflicted on Iranian military systems and whether the operations achieved their intended strategic goals.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest Update: US-Iran-Israel Conflict Raises Fear of Wider Middle East Crisis

The latest developments have deepened fears that the ongoing Gaza conflict could evolve into a broader confrontation involving Lebanon, Iran and other regional actors.

Iran-backed Hezbollah has continued to exchange fire with Israeli forces along the northern border, while diplomatic channels led by the United States and regional mediators attempt to prevent a full-scale war.

Security experts warn that continued military escalation could destabilise the Middle East further and disrupt international energy markets and trade routes.
