The IRGC’s political deputy General Yadollah Javani issued a threat to Arab countries this morning. “It is better to expel the Americans from your countries and take back the bases,” Javani said in a statement released by the Tasnim news agency. He warned that if the US forces remain on these backs, it will retaliate decisively and named Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan as the countries for retaliation.

“I like our position now much better, with almost total control of the Hormuz Strait, and their economy totally collapsing”, the US President claimed on Truth Social. He also claimed that Iran is “playing out the inevitable” .

According to Iran’s state aligned IRNA news agency, Masoud Pezeshkian reportedly said that Iran is willing to ‘reciprocate’ if the US honours all of its commitments underlined in the MoU.
“I state explicitly that if the United States returns to its commitments under the aforementioned memorandum of understanding, the Islamic Republic of Iran will immediately take reciprocal action” he reportedly said.
The agreement, that was signed on June 17 aimed to facilitate peace negotiations and included provisions for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
