The administration of US President Donald Trump has announced a new initiative to support Gaza following two years of conflict between Israel and Hamas. The plan, backed by the United Nations, aims to demilitarize the region and rebuild its infrastructure, governance, and economy. To oversee this effort, the US has invited political leaders, diplomats, and business figures from around the world to join a “Board of Peace.”
The Board of Peace is a newly established, U.S.-led intergovernmental organization and transitional governing administration tasked with overseeing the post-war governance, reconstruction, and economic recovery of the Gaza Strip
The White House outlined that the initiative consists of three interconnected bodies:
The Main Board of Peace, chaired by Trump, which will oversee reconstruction, investment, funding, regional relations, and governance development.
A Palestinian Technocratic Committee, responsible for day-to-day administration and public services in Gaza.
The Gaza Executive Board, which will provide advisory and support functions for governance and service delivery.
According to the White House, the main board will focus on building governance capacity and facilitating large-scale funding and investments. The confirmed members are:
Donald Trump, US President and Chair
Marco Rubio, US Secretary of State
Steve Witkoff, Trump’s special negotiator
Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law
Tony Blair, former UK Prime Minister
Marc Rowan, US billionaire financier
Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank
Robert Gabriel, Trump aide at the National Security Council
A National Committee for the Administration of Gaza will manage public services and civil institutions, headed by Ali Shaath, former Palestinian Authority deputy minister.
The Gaza Executive Board, tasked with supporting governance and service delivery, includes:
Steve Witkoff
Jared Kushner
Tony Blair
Marc Rowan
Nickolay Mladenov, Bulgarian diplomat
Sigrid Kaag, UN humanitarian coordinator for Gaza
Hakan Fidan, Turkish Foreign Minister

General Hassan Rashad, Egypt’s intelligence chief
Reem Al-Hashimy, UAE minister
Yakir Gabay, Israeli billionaire
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been invited to join the initiative. US Ambassador Sergio Gor posted on X, “Honored to convey POTUS invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the Board of Peace which will bring lasting peace to Gaza. The Board will support effective governance to achieve stability and prosperity!"
Other world leaders reportedly invited include:
