An Indian origin teen in Massachusetts has been detained by local police for allegedly murdering his mother and younger brother at their home. Arjun Aravind, fled the crime scene and was finally taken into custody after an extensive search.
Who is Arjun Aravind?
Arjun Aravind is an Indian origin teen from Acton, Massachusetts. He has been detained by cops on charges of murders, larceny of a motor vehicle and use of a water/motor vehicle without authority . He is a student at the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and also used to work at the Stop & Shop in Acton.
Martha Lane Murders: What Happened?
On Tuesday afternoon, 45-year-old Sudha Venkatesan, and her younger 14-year-old son, Siddharth Aravind were fatally assaulted at their Martha Lane home in Acton, Massachusetts allegedly by Arjun Aravind. As a result, both of them suffered severe physical trauma.
At approximately 6:30 PM local time, a private tutor arrived at the Martha Lane residence for a scheduled session. She found that the doors were locked. After getting no response, she got concerned and promptly contacted the father.
After failing to reach his wife or younger son himself, the father contacted the Acton Police Department to request an immediate emergency welfare check. Cops entered the home at 6:37 PM, discovered Siddharth’s body on the first floor and Sudha’s body in a section of the basement.
They also found out that Arjun and Sudha’s car were both missing. Arjun allegedly escaped in his mother’s green Honda Accord after the gruesome crime. Cops then launched an extensive manhunt, found him sleeping in his mother’s car & detained him.

Martha Lane Murders: Investigation Update
Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan shared that Aravind appeared in juvenile court to face charges of larceny of a motor vehicle and unauthorised use of a vehicle. However, for the murder charges, he will be tried as an adult. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is performing autopsies of Sudha and Siddharth but DA Ryan has confirmed that there were signs of physical trauma on both bodies.
