McDonald’s recently had a dismal second quarter, especially with regards to sales. Now, the fast food giant has announced the appointment of Skye Anderson as the new US head. She will succeed Joe Erlinger, who resigned from his role as part of an internal overhaul.
Who is Skye Anderson?
Skye Anderson is the new president of McDonald’s USA. Anderson has been with the fast food chain for 26 years. According to CEO Chris Kempczinski she is a “proven change agent” who specializes in operational turnarounds.
Anderson’s new job role will include reviving domestic sales, fixing falling restaurant traffic, improving everyday store discipline, and strengthening the chain’s value menu propositions to win over old but disappointed customers.
