FashionTop fashion brands are now open to collaborative projects

Every fashion designer craves individual success, but there are always those who prefer sharing the accolades. If we go by the latest trend in the Indian fashion industry, collaborative projects seem to have emerged as an idea embraced by some of the biggest names. The latest example being the tie-up between Anju Modi and Vishal Jewels at the India Couture Week 2017.

Designer Anju Modi collaborated with Vishal Jewels at the India Couture Week 2017. After which the designer and renowned jewellery brands have entered a long-term collaboration. As a perk of this, jewellery by Vishal Jewels is also available at Anju Modi’s store at the DLF Emporio.

The collection exhibits grandeur, magnificence and there’s a regal element to each piece that has intricate details inspired by traditional artworks. The specially designed heritage jewellery for Anju Modi’s couture is made of uncut and rose cut diamonds, emeralds and precious stones. Celebrating a decade of her label’s existence, Modi revived the royal culture of India through her couture collection at the “Sunehri Kothi” (Golden Chalet) at FDCI India Couture Week, which was held at The Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi.

In conversation with Guardian 20, Saurabh Maheshwari, owner of Vishal Jewels talked about the collaboration. He said, “After being the official jewelry partner with designer Anju Modi at the India Couture Week 2017, Vishal Jewels has officially collaborated with her for several coming years. As a result of the collaboration, jewellery by Vishal Jewels is also now available at Anju Modi’s store at DLF Emporio and their flagship store in Defence Colony. It will certainly be a long term collaboration which will witness activities like exhibitions, discounts, fashion shows and theme inspired jewelry matching with the garment designs this year.”

Another designer Bibhu Mohaptra created a buzz at the New York Fashion Week runway along with a renowned jewellery brand Narayan Jewellers by Ketan and Jatin Chokshi hailing from the small town of Vadodara. The duo presented their exclusive festive collection crafted with beautiful, rare and responsibly sourced Forevermark Diamonds at the BibhuMohapatra S/S 18 show there.

Narayan Jewellers’ exclusive festive collection crafted with beautiful diamond, is inspired by the celestial bodies and the universal concept of solar system. Each 18kt white gold celestial design is one of a kind and embodies galaxies, orbits, planets, moons, and stars realised in diamonds and precious gemstones. The exquisite collection included spectacular neckpieces, elegant earrings, dainty ring bracelet, luxuriously crafted two-finger ring, and elegant bangles amongst others.

Ketan Chokshi, co-owner, Narayan Jewellers thrilled about the collaboration said, “A jewellery brand which was launched in a small town in Vadodara 75 years back, is today showcasing an entire collection at the mecca of fashion, the New York Fashion Week. We had plans for global market and this collaboration with Forevermark by DeBeers and designer Bibhu Mohaptra is a step forward in that direction”.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the festive season. It’s been a beautiful journey till now”, added Chokshi.

“I am very thrilled to say that I had the opportunity of collaborating with Narayan Jewellers, the heritage brand with a legacy of 75 years, to create exclusive new pieces for my spring 18 collection that is an extension of my Artemis collection with special collaboration with F orevermark diamonds”, shared Mohapatra.

Sachin Jain, President Forevermark India, said, “We are extremely proud to be associated with Bibhu Mohapatra for the New York Fashion week through our trusted partners, Narayan Jewellers. These elegant pieces designed by Narayan are inspired by the Forevermark Artemis collection, which go beyond traditional Indian jewellery and yet retain an heirloom value. Every Forevermark diamond is expertly crafted and individually selected for its exceptional qualities. Each Forevermark diamond is inscribed with its unique icon and less than 1% of the world’s diamonds are eligible to become a Forevermark. This collection by Narayan Jewellers highlights a central Forevermark diamond which emerges as the definitive, cosmic element in each design in 3 motifs-the sun, moon and stars.”
