At the heart of this extraordinary destination lies Copitas, the cocktail bar that has garnered the prestigious accolade of being ranked no 38 on the Asia’s Best Bars List.

SUSTAINABILITY AND CONSCIOUS CONSUMPTION

Nestled on the 21st floor of the Four Seasons Hotel, Copitas truly captivates with its breath-taking views of Bengaluru’s cityscape at night. As I step into this cocktail haven, I can’t help but be drawn to the vibrant atmosphere and stylish crowd it attracts. From designers to entrepreneurs, musicians to actors, Copitas effortlessly lures in the city’s coolest and most discerning individuals, seeking not only remarkable drinks but also a touch of privacy. The bar operates like a well-oiled machine, with a compact team that effortlessly crafts clean and delightful cocktails.

One thing that sets Copitas apart is the simplicity and finesse of their beverage offerings. There are no pretentious concoctions here, just beautifully executed drinks that leave a lasting impression. The bar strikes a remarkable balance, exuding an easy-going vibe usually reserved for standalone establishments, complemented by Asianinspired bar nibbles and an enticing selection of cigars that perfectly punctuate the sophisticated drink menu. What truly impresses me about Copitas is its embodiment of Indian hospitality. Throughout my visit, I experience a sense of warmth and genuine care from the staff, making me feel both welcomed and valued as a guest.

Whether I drop by in the late afternoon to savour a panoramic sunset over the city’s skyline or chose it as the destination for a memorable nightcap, Copitas proved to be an oasis of relaxation and refinement. To enhance my experience, I delve into one of their many low-waste cocktails from the innovative ‘A Greener Future’ menu. The Leaf cocktail becomes my instant favourite, an artistic blend of tequila, betel leaves, saffron, honey water, and lime juice. Each sip is an adventure, with the flavours harmoniously coming together to create an unforgettable taste sensation. As I immerse myself in the drink and the captivating ambiance, Copitas truly showcases its commitment to sustainability and conscious consumption.

AN EXCEPTIONAL LEADER

I had the opportunity to meet Vikram Reddy, the Regional Vice President (Bengaluru, Tianjin, Dalian, Hangzhou City Centre and Hangzhou Westlake) & General Manager of Four Seasons Macau, and it was truly fortuitous. Reddy’s extensive experience at Four Seasons has given him a deep understanding of resourcefulness and adaptability. He shared a remarkable experience from his time at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, when the entire resort’s 147 villas were occupied by a single organization.

They demanded an exquisite candlelit dinner in each villa, and the team successfully provided exceptional service to around 250 patrons within a threehour span. This achievement was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the team, mobilizing labour from all available sources. Inspired by the passion and engagement of the staff at Four Seasons Macau, Reddy believes that together they can create extraordinary experiences for guests.

He is excited about leading the team at Four Seasons Macau, especially as they recently celebrated over a decade of exceptional service. Additionally, Reddy eagerly anticipates the hotel’s forthcoming expansion, which he sees as vital for bolstering Macau’s reputation as a global tourism and leisure hub Reddy places great importance on maintaining physical fitness, finding it invigorating, and an integral part of his life. He also has a deep desire to explore and travel with his wife, strengthening their bond through shared experiences of wonder and adventure.

On what lies ahead, Reddy says, “In an era where sustainability has transcended a mere passing trend, it has become an indispensable obligation. Looking towards the year 2024, the discerning consumer will be increasingly attuned to their environmental impact and seek out establishments that embody eco-consciousness. To cultivate an ethos of sustainability, consider integrating an array of eco-friendly measures within your restaurant, encompassing energy-efficient appliances, waste reduction programs, and the employment of locally sourced organic ingredients. By actively promoting this unwavering dedication to sustainability, any establishment will undoubtedly capture the attention and loyalty of environmentally aware travellers”.

REJUVENATION TIME

Embarking on a captivating culinary adventure, I find myself irresistibly drawn to the alluring embrace of the Far & East Asian brasserie, satiating my palate with a symphony of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai flavours. Each dish, an exquisite embodiment of authenticity, skilfully entice my taste buds. Sunday offered a grand indulgence, a brunch experience adorned with opulence, elevating the customary weekend tradition to new heights.

Cur8, a culinary sanctuary in its own right, expertly intertwines the culinary legacies of Italy and India, delivering a remarkable fusion of gastronomic traditions. The tantalizing melodies of Italian and Indian cuisine harmonize flawlessly, accompanied by an extensive selection of finest wines and beverages. Nestled amidst a trove of luxury retail stores, the hotel’s prime location bestows upon me the dual delight of seamless indulgence in shopping and my stay. Whether attending conferences or seeking leisure, this serendipitous arrangement made my experience all the more convenient and fulfilling.

Beyond the realm of lavish retail therapy, the enchanting Infuse Spa awaits, concealed discreetly behind a cascading water feature near the crystalline pool. Within this ethereal sanctuary, adorned with 11 treatment rooms, I surrender to the embrace of rejuvenation. The spa menu is a tapestry of unique offerings, from local Coorg beanbased coffee scrubs to decadent chocolate-infused and spice-enlivened treatments. Amidst the whirlwind of bustling schedules and joyous celebrations, this oasis of tranquillity serves as a soothing haven.
