Food & DrinkFood Review: Flavours and fusion at this new restro-bar

Kaama Klub

Ansal Plaza, Andrewganj, Khel Gaon Marg, New Delhi

Meal for two: Rs 1,800

Kaama Klub promises to be a place that will delight all your five senses with a unique culinary sensitivity to match, and it does come very close to doing that. Sprawled across two floors, the unique fusion of this restro-bar has much to explore-—handmade art on walls, multi-level bar, amphitheatre and a beautiful outdoor seating to rejoice over tea, coffee or your favourite spirit. It has co-working space and an all day diner—rolled into one. They also have sufi nights on Wednesdays and ladies night on Thursdays.

Coming to the food, they offer everything contemporary Indian and they have their spices just right. For us, the highlight of our meal was mushroom baklava, which was so soft that it melts right on your tongue giving you a delicious cheesy flavour. We also tried the chef recommended veg tandoori dimsum. Next on our plate was hung curd kebab- one of the chef’s speciality—made of curd as the name suggest. This spiced up tangy delight is something you could try for an unusual flavour. The kebab’s came from Kaama Lab- where chef experts and mixologists work to create remarkable culinary delights—Think Indian inspired Burgers, globally renowned tikkas- and uncommon cocktails- influenced by local and organic Indian seasonal ingredients. Taking a cue from all that is natural and organic, Kaama offers a glimpse of botanical mixology across its beverage and cocktail menus. Potent concoctions with infused tea options, in-house syrups that are made from scratch. We tried Midnight Fantasy—jasmine tea with peppermint and anise bitters vodka gin, white rum, tequila and triple sec topped with lemonade is perfect for a date. What we also loved were the soy burger sliders and the aloo tikki burger. The patties, which were oil free, were soft and the spices were delightful. For dessert it was Ecuadorian Chocolate with a crispy layer and fresh cheese. They also have rich variety for non-veg and sea food lovers.

If you like the place much you can even go for the membership options available.
