‘Names of district presidents will be announced first; after that, the state executive team will be announced’.

NEW DELHI: With the Lok Sabha elections approaching, Delhi BJP is getting ready for the general elections. Keeping the 2024 Lok Sabha and 2025 Assembly elections in mind, Delhi BJP’s top leadership is working on constituting a new team.
Earlier, it was said that announcement of the new executive team will be done soon, but now, according to sources, the top leadership of Delhi BJP is planning to announce the names of district presidents first and after that, the state executive team will be announced.
Sources associated with Delhi BJP have revealed that the maximum age limit of 60 years has been fixed for the post of district and divisional presidents. Along with this, the husbands or wives of corporators are also being avoided from being given any major responsibility in the organization. However, officially nothing like this has been said by the party.
“Within 7-8 days, we will come up with the names of new district presidents,” a BJP functionarysaid. Asked about the announcement of the state executive team, the BJP leader said that in July, the new executive team will be announced.
According to BJP leaders, the reason behind the delay is the upcoming month-long nationwide “Jan Sampark” program. From 30 May to 30 June, BJP workers and leaders will go on the ground and do door-to-door campaigns to publicize the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government during the last nine years.
The top leadership has given the responsibility to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani to make the program successful in the capital and both leaders have been made observers. According to the Delhi BJP functionary, the detailed plan for the month-long program is being readied and soon, they will come up with details of the program.
Before kicking off the “Jan Sampark Abhiyan”, a press conference was organised to list the achievements of nine years of the Modi government. The Modi government has developed Delhi in every field, including education, health, transport, road infrastructure, pollution control and public welfare, among others, at a cost of lakhs of crores of rupees, BJP’s Delhi unit chief Virendra Sachdeva said at a joint press conference.“When we pass through the Kartavya Path of New Delhi, we realise our duties towards the country,” Sachdeva said, listing various works done by the BJP-led Centre.
