If the award of ignorance has to be given to anyone, then it should be given to the Delhi AAP’.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has given a befitting reply to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with figures on the allegation of “drowning Delhi by conspiracy”. In retaliation, the CM said that Aam Aadmi Party members do not even know what a barrage is. If the award of ignorance has to be given to anyone, then it should be given to the Delhi AAP.
CM Manohar Lal said that it is “not my nature to speak political language in disaster. But, when the person in front speaks like this, then I will definitely have to answer. I will answer in this way that if the award for ignorance has to be given to someone, then it should be given to the people of Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party.”
“The reason for this is that they do not know what Hathini Kund Barrage is. There is a river in the barrage, canals are drawn on its side. A river is a natural source of flowing water. The canals run according to the requirement of the Irrigation Department,” the CM said.
“As far as the Western Yamuna and Eastern Yamuna canals are concerned, the total capacity of East Yamuna is 5,000 cusecs; Western has 18,000 cusecs. When the water is up to 1 lakh cusecs, till then 23,000 cusecs are taken out in both the canals, the rest goes to Yamuna.”
After having more than 1 lakh cusecs of water, the CWC has directed that the water of both the canals should be closed immediately. The reason for this is that after that water will run in the canals, then the pressure of the water brings stones and the gate of the canal can be damaged. That water spreads to the plains. The natural source is the river, all the water should go into it, as per experts.
On 11 April, 3 lakh 69,000 cusecs of water entered the Yamuna. All this water was to go to Yamuna. The barrage’s capacity is one lakh, the rest has to go to Yamuna. AAP people are saying why did not release the water. The first thing is that water cannot be released in the canals. Even if he had left it, only 23,000 cusecs would have gone into it. Then 3 lakh 46 thousand cusecs of water would have been saved. That water goes only in the Yamuna. If these people are telling to release water from the barrage to drown Delhi, then it is their senselessness.
The Aam Aadmi Party had accused the Haryana government that all the water of the Hathini Kund Barrage was released to Delhi. From here, two canals go towards Uttar Pradesh, they have dried up, and the AAP has accused the Haryana government of hatching a conspiracy. The CM has given these answers on this. “Himachal suffered more losses than us. I spoke to the CM Sukhwinder Sukhu there. He said that if we get help from the CM Relief Fund, we will accept it. We sent Rs 5 crore.”
