Pre Budget Expectations

As an International School in India, we look forward to the upcoming Union Budget with optimism and anticipation. Key priorities include continued support for enhancing our infrastructure and ensuring robust investment in international curriculum development. We urge the government to streamline visa processes and regulatory frameworks to attract and retain global talent, which is vital for our diverse learning environment. Investments in digital learning tools and technology integration will further empower our students to excel in an interconnected world. Additionally, fostering partnerships with foreign educational institutions and promoting cultural exchange programs will enrich our educational offerings and nurture global citizenship among our students. These initiatives will contribute to the country’s overall educational landscape globally-Virenica Manchu, Founder & Director, New York Academy

As we approach the Pre-Budget discussions, our expectations center around transforming India into a global manufacturing powerhouse. This ambition hinges on the government’s focus on boosting automation and digitalization within the sector. We anticipate policies and interventions that will encourage the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, including advanced Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS). HRMS is vital for enhancing workforce management, streamlining operations, and driving innovation. Government support in facilitating the adoption of these technologies is crucial, as it will not only improve productivity but also ensure the sector’s global competitiveness. We look forward to initiatives that propel the manufacturing industry towards a new era of growth and sustainability, making India a formidable player on the world stage-Ms. Sonali Chowdhry, CEO – Officenet

It is imperative to increase spending on Education and Skills Development to 6% of GDP initially, with a progressive target of reaching 7% over the next five years. This investment is essential to ensure that our education system is adequately resourced to meet the challenges of the 21st century and beyond. Next, the establishment of a dedicated Higher Education Commission is essential. There is also an urgent need to establish a robust Research Foundation aimed at funding comprehensive research across various fields and disciplines within the education sector- Ravichandran V, Chairperson & Trustee, eVidyaloka.

Looking ahead to the upcoming budget, we see a critical opportunity to address India’s skill gap through strategic initiatives. There are already promising efforts underway to strengthen the industry-academia interface and enhance professional skill development. Government support in incentivizing internships and apprenticeships will be pivotal in equipping our workforce with practical experience and readiness for employment upon graduation- Srinivasa Addepalli, Founder and CEO, GlobalGyan Leadership Academy.
