DineFest offers curated culinary experiences in Delhi & Mumbai

DineFest, a 10-day multi-city culinary event platform created by Cellar Door Hospitality and presented by Citibank, kicked off on Friday. The 10-day-event will conclude on 1 November and will feature 30 informal dining restaurants across Delhi and Mumbai. Drawing inspiration from Restaurant Week India, DineFest will focus on three-course prix fixed menus (with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options). This curated dining experience will be available at a fraction of the usual a la carte rates: both lunch and dinner are priced at Rs 600+ in Delhi and Mumbai. The pricing stated is per individual, exclusive of applicable taxes, service charges as well as dishes ordered outside of the special DineFest menu.

“India’s emerging stand-alone restaurant industry has inspired the conception of DineFest presented by Citibank, a nationally scalable culinary event that aims to make gourmet dining experiences accessible to a wider audience. The October debut will allow discerning diners the chance to discover as well as experience dining at restaurants they may not be familiar with,” said Nachiket Shetye, co-founder of Cellar Door Hospitality, along with Mangal Dalal.

“Offered at 30 of India’s finest informal dining restaurants in Delhi NCR and Mumbai, this event provides Citi customers with an exclusive opportunity to explore new dining experiences. This is a significant part of Citi’s unique dining value proposition for our customers, enabling them to benefit from a range of tailor-made offerings through the year,” said Arjun Chowdhry, Head of Cards and Unsecured Lending, Citibank India.

In collaboration with DineFest, Zomato has featured DineFest on its “Collections” tab, so that users can navigate through the list of participating restaurants easily. Some of the most recognisable Delhi restaurants taking place in DineFest are Café Lota, Benihana, Desi Roots and The Yum Yum Tree. Prominent Mumbai eateries include Café Zoe, Burma Burma, 212 All Day, The Fatty Bao and Eat Thai. DineFest will run twice a year henceforth, typically during April and October.
