BMW

The German luxury car maker has made quite a presence felt at the Auto Expo. In all 5 new BMW cars have been launched at the motor show and 4 of them are displayed here. Master Blaster and company’s brand Ambassador Sachin Tendulkar launched the first ever 6 series Gran Tourism at a price 58.9 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). The M range of sports cars is also new and the new M4 and M4 are gracing the BMW stall. The latter costs 1.43 crore rupees. The new X6 is also there and this one has been launched at Rs. 94.15 lakh. You can also catch a glimpse of the upcoming BMW X3 SUV, the electric vehicle i3 and the beautiful i8 roadster at the show. BMW’s sister brand Mini has unveiled the new Countryman at the show, a car that is bigger than before. And finally BMW Motorrad also showcased 2 new bikes. Promising the best of both worlds of touring or off-roading, the company launched the F750GS and F850GS at the show. The bikes are priced starting at 12.2 lakh rupees. 

Maruti Suzuki

Country’s leading car maker Maruti is showcasing two futuristic concepts at the Auto Expo. Designed in-house by the company, the Concept Future ‘S’ shows next level of design evolution in terms of proportions and body sculpting. SUV features have been smartly integrated in compact dimensions which are a rarity.  The e-SURVIVOR Concept on the other hand demonstrates the company’s efforts in the direction of electric mobility and presents an innovative, futuristic vision. The vehicle pays tribute to Suzuki’s proud 4 wheel drive heritage and is aimed to take the excitement of driving and fun of off-roading to the next level. Maruti is getting ready to launch their first electric car by the year 2020 and some elements from the E-survivor will be seen in upcoming cars from the brand. 

Tata Motors

From public transport to personal cars, from last mile connectivity to BRTS, from emergency response vehicles to commercial utility vehicles, from green and sustainable solutions to vehicles designed to amplify the thrill of the drive—Tata Motors has a product portfolio to connect the aspirations and needs of its discerning customers. In the passenger vehicles segment as part of the two-architecture strategy, two attractive innovations made their global debut at the Auto Expo. These were the H5X concept which is a 5-seater luxury SUV, and the 45X concept a modern, technologically advanced small car. These cars will speak the company’s new 2.0 design language. There’s a range of six electric vehicles as well which also include commercial vehicles like Magic EV and the Iris EV. And not be to missed are the racecar concepts from Tata motors, the Racemo and Racemo EV. 

Mahindra & Mahindra

There’s a lot to see at the Mahindra stall this Auto Expo. Leading the way is the SsangYong G4 Rexton this time with a with Mahindra badging. This luxurious SUV, packed with top notch equipment and with it the company aims to set new benchmarks and provide an unmatched driving experience coupled with off-road capability. The Rexton comes with a 7-speed Mercedes-Benz automatic transmission and its new 2.2L engine delivers 178bhp power and 420NM torque. The new TUV Stinger concept is also making heads turn at the show. It is the first Indian convertible SUV that marries the capability of an SUV with the stylishness of a convertible. It delivers 140 BHP and 320 Nm of torque. The company is also displaying electric variants of its passenger and commercial vehicles that include the e2oPlus, e-Verito and the e-Supro which is India’s first zero emission, all-electric range of cargo and passenger vans. 

Kia Motors

Korean car maker Kia has made its India debut at the Auto Expo. And they have the biggest stall at the show. The company is displaying its full range of 16 global cars at a massive display of design and engineering prowess at the venue. And at the center of it is the brand new SUV Concept, the SP that making its global debut before the Indian audience. The SP Concept provides a glimpse of what’s in store for motoring enthusiasts once Kia kicks off retail sales in India, in the second half of 2019. Inspired by Indian heritage and driven by advanced technology, the SP Concept is proof of the company’s plans to introduce cars that cater to the changing paradigm of the Indian market in the near future. The combination of its wide and stable stance, sporty and long hood profile and futuristic details will no doubt set new standards for compact SUVs in India. The iconic sportscar from the brand the Stinger is also on display at the Kia stall.
