Shouting slogans with her supporters, Swaraj mingles with crowd, something which reminds people of her mother Sushma Swaraj’s style and popularity.

Early declaration of candidature seems to have given BJP’s New Delhi nominee, Bansuri Swaraj, a head start as she has hit the campaign trail with verve and élan.
She is interacting with specific sections of voters in small sessions that are helping her building a bond through “Jansampark”.

Shouting slogans with her supporters, Swaraj mingles with crowd – something which reminds people of her late mother Sushma Swaraj’s style and the popularity she enjoyed in her New Delhi constituency.

“My ticket is not mine but of all the party workers,” said Swaraj, expressing confidence for making her mother proud by winning the contest. “I am focused on highlighting corruption and taking up local issues,” she said on being asked about her strategy to counter rivals, underscoring her resolve to stay away from personal attacks on rivals.

As part of her Lok Sabha campaign she visited Jain Temple located at Bazaar Raja, Connaught Place, and receiving blessings and affection from Acharya Muni Shri 108 Pragya Sagar Ji Maharaj. After this, she interacted with the heads of 31 Digambar Jain idols in New Delhi and the people of the Jain community and asked them for their support during the election.

Giving a personal touch in her campaigning, she shook hands and embraced women supporters as party workers continued to shout slogans like “Ab ki baar, 400 paar” and and “Fir ek baar Modi sarkar”. She even gets emotional and some of the voters tend to spot her mother’s shadow in her.

Talking about her vision, she said, “We have installed suggestion boxes in each block to collect public suggestions for the vision document for a developed India.” While interacting with voters, she also discussed the development project organised by the honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Earlier this week, Swaraj interacted with the business community at Safdarjung Central Market. Talking to media persons she said, “Let me be very honest, this is not a ticket for me, but this ticket belongs to every single worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat.’

“I’m extremely grateful to the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Honourable Home Minister Amit Shah, National President J.P. Nadda, State President Virendra Sachdeva, and every single worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party that they have bestowed this opportunity on me,” she said.

“The whole aspect is to make people aware of the central government schemes. Modi ki guarantee is the guarantee of completion. Every Indian believes in it. To achieve its target of winning 400 seats, each and every worker of the BJP is going to work very hard,” she added.
