Haryana cops uncover Pak connect in Nuh violence

Haryana Police’s investigation into the violence in Nuh has uncovered Pakistani connection. In the investigation by Haryana Police, inflammatory videos posted by Pakistani YouTuber Zeeshan Mushtaq have emerged.

Police sources said that the YouTuber had maintained a social media account in the name of Ahsan Mewati Pakistani. The user had given his location as Alwar in Rajasthan, although in reality, he was posting videos from Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan. Zeeshan uploaded the videos through the Pakistan Education and Research Network (PERN). Internet is provided to educational institutions of Pakistan through this centralized network. It is a part of the Government of Pakistan.

Zeeshan had instigated the killing of Monu Manesar and the violence in Nuh. On the same day, the violence was continuing, footage of arson-sabotage was also being released. Police suspect that Zeeshan has a strong network in Nuh. The police have made preparations to register a case on the basis of the investigation so far.

According to sources, the police is probing several such social media profiles which have been created recently. Inflammatory posts and videos have been uploaded continuously from them. One of these Ahsan Mewati’s profile is viral. In the investigation so far, it has been found that this is the profile of Zeeshan. He declares himself to be from Alwar. When violence broke out in Nuh on 31 July, its videos were going viral on social media. According to the sources, apart from the provocative videos that Zeeshan uploaded in the name of Ahsan Mewati, the information he was giving… it is clear that he has strong connections in Haryana. He got 1 lakh 45 thousand likes within 48 hours of posting the video. He has posted 273 videos on his YouTube channel and has 80,000 followers.

Investigation has revealed that Zeeshan’s YouTube handle was registered with e-mail ze….8@gmail.com. When Zeeshan, alias Ehsan Mewati, was uploading the video, his location was found to be Islamabad. His IP address was in the Pakistani network PERN. Zeeshan had gone to a village near Sargodha in Pakistan’s Punjab on 27 July. There, he recorded a video. During this he used Telenor Broadband. On 1 August, he reached Lahore and used the Zong network. During this he was close to a cricket ground. This place is near the Punjab Secretariat. Sources said that Zeeshan is currently using two mobiles. He records video through these. He operates 11 e-mails through these mobiles. Apart from YouTube, he is also active on Facebook and Instagram.
