NewsIndians believe in ‘Modi ki guarantee’: V.K. Singh

General V.K. Singh, Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways, and Civil Aviation, said that the “Modi ki guarantee” was the only guarantee in the country that Indians trusted blindly, as they knew that it would be fulfilled irrespective of any difficulty.

At Indian News Manch 2023, a political conclave organised by ITV Network last week, he shared his experience of the rescue operation of 41 tunnel workers at Silkyara, who were trapped in the tunnel. “Modi-ji had earlier said that if any Indian got stuck anywhere in the world, then we promised that we would bring them back. Like we did in the Russia-Ukraine war, the Israel-Palestine war, etc., and we did the same in Silkyara,” he added.

He further said, “it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal involvement and guarantee that kept us focused and helped us rescue the 41 workers.” “I was there the entire time during the rescue operation. I gave them a promise that we would bring them out despite all the difficulties. We have to put a pipe there to give them food and water so that they can survive there,” he said.

He mentioned that to achieve something, one has to face risk. “As an Army personnel, I was prone to take risks, so I believe that nothing is possible without taking risks.” He further said, “When I used to visit Kashmir in my childhood, people in Kashmir always asked me, ‘You came from India?’ At the time I used to wonder why they were asking this, as Kashmir is itself an integral part of India.”

He also highlighted the development work done by his ministry under the leadership of the PM. “Our government had made infrastructural improvements while we completed our promises to provide seamless connectivity. Earlier, it used to take 3 to 4 hours to reach Delhi from Ghaziabad, but now it takes only 1 hour as it is well connected.
