NEW DELHI: The Delhi BJP convened its state executive meeting on 18 May. BJP National Organization General Secretary B.L. Santosh and National Vice President Baijayant Jay Panda, State President Virendra Sachdeva inaugurated the meeting. Other senior leaders of the party were also present.
In this meeting, Delhi BJP leaders discussed the renovation of Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, Vande Bharat Express, India’s evacuation missions and the upcoming Jan Sampark campaign. Keeping upcoming Lok Sabha elections in mind, from 30 May to 30 June, BJP workers and leaders will go on the ground and do door-to-door campaigns to publicize the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government during the last nine years.
While targeting Delhi CM Kejriwal, B.L. Santosh said: “In the last few years, with the help of illusions and lies, a leader had created his image of a common man in Delhi, but in reality, there was corruption and anarchy behind him and Delhi BJP has now broken his false image.”
Santosh also discussed efforts done by the central government. While talking about Indian railways, he said: “Everyone knows what the condition of the railways earlier was, but today the railways are touching new heights and today the whole country is supporting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s efforts. Earlier, the railways were looked upon with contempt, but now due to the increase in facilities in the railways, there has been a good change in the attitude of the people towards the railway department.”
National Vice President and State in-charge Baijayant Jay Panda lauded the Delhi BJP unit for its aggressive performance against AAP. He also lauded Delhi LG V.K. Saxena and said: “The way the new Lieutenant Governor gave orders, one after the other, on Arvind Kejriwal’s corruption cases and due to the struggle of BJP workers, Kejriwal is afraid to go out in public today. The time has come that we should start preparing for the elections of 2024 and 2025.”
The Delhi unit of BJP has started preparations for the month-long campaign and their main target will be to spread awareness about schemes launched by the central government.
