Rahul in Haryana

NewsRahul in Haryana

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi suddenly stopped in Sonipat, Haryana, on Saturday morning. He planted paddy in the fields with the farmers. He also ploughed the field by driving a tractor. Talks were also held with farmers and farm labourers on agriculture. Rahul Gandhi also had breakfast with the farmers.
Rahul Gandhi was going from Delhi to Shimla. When he reached the Kundli border on GT Road, he made a program to go among the farmers and moved to the rural areas of Sonipat. Rahul Gandhi left for Gohana via Murthal via NH 48 via Kurad Road bypass. After this, he deviated from his route and reached Madina village of Baroda assembly constituency, about 50 km away, at around 6:40 am. They reached Sanjay’s farm on the Bhainswan-Madina road. After about two hours in Madina village, Rahul Gandhi left at 8.40 am. While returning, he changed his dress at Gohana PWD Rest House, then left for Sonipat.
Congress MLA from Baroda Induraj Narwal and Gohana MLA Jagbir Malik also reached there as soon as they came to know about Rahul Gandhi’s stay at Sonipat farm. Narwal said that he did not have information about Rahul Gandhi’s arrival, but as soon as he came to know about it from the villagers, he came to meet him.
Congress MLA from Gohana Jagbir Malik said that the area is fortunate that Rahul Gandhi has reached here. Village Madina is a part of Baroda, a rural constituency of Sonipat. Induraj Narwal, alias Bhalu of Congress, is currently the MLA from Baroda constituency. He defeated BJP’s Yogeshwar Dutt in the by-election. The entire Baroda region is a Congress bastion and is adjacent to Rohtak, the home constituency of former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Rahul Gandhi’s sudden stopover decision in Haryana is not the first time. A month ago, he was going from Delhi to Shimla. During this, he got the convoy stopped at Ambala. From here he boarded a truck and went to Chandigarh. A few days later, Rahul Gandhi also released a video of his conversation with the truck drivers.
Haryana agriculture minister Jai Prakash Dalal took a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s stopover at Sonipat. Dalal said: “Instead of getting a photoshoot done with farmers after seeing the good weather, if the Rajkumar of Congress had worked with the farmers for an hour in 45°C in the afternoon, he would have understood real hard work.”
Despite visiting Sonipat, the CM contenders were not informed of his visit. This is big embarrassment for them as Rahul Gandhi chose to ignore all CM contenders and send a strong message since he didn’t call even Bhupinder Singh Hooda. It was a one-on-one interaction with common people, but a statement to CM faces. Rahul Gandhi’s sudden stopover in Haryana is also a jolt to all the possible CM faces of Haryana as they didn’t get a hint that he was coming to Haryana, that too in the home constituency of Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
