Kolkata: Rakesh Sharma, president of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) and publisher of The Sunday Guardian, received a prestigious plaque for his exceptional contributions during a seminar focused on the transformative impacts of the 4th Industrial Age.

The event, titled “Dealing with Key Metaphors of 4th Industrial Age: The reshaped political governance, business, economy, and skilling in the face of technological developments in cyber-physical systems,” took place on October 5 in a hybrid format, connecting participants from New Delhi and London. Participating in Plenary Session 1 as a speaker, Sharma gave insights on “New Mantras of Political Governance,” outlining the four pillars of smart governance: Integration, Interoperability, Collaboration, and Trust. His perspectives were well received, emphasising the need for innovative approaches to governance in an era increasingly shaped by technological advancements.
