JAISALMER: India successfully test-fired indigenously developed VSHORADS missiles in Rajasthan’s Pokhran range as part of DRDO’s development trials. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, the Indian Army, and industry partners, highlighting the missile’s advanced technology that boosts defence against aerial threats. The VSHORADS missiles, developed over several years, will replace the older Russian Igla systems. Singh, addressing the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue 2024, emphasized India’s support for peaceful dispute resolution and regional cooperation. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to maritime security and cooperation, as well as Prime Minister Modi’s SAGAR vision for regional growth and security.
