Life is like a river; when we pray and seek the good of others, we become like the current, flowing forward, bringing nourishment and blessings to everything we touch.
God’s call to be a blessing: In Jeremiah 29:7, God gives people an unexpected command: instead of resisting their difficult situation, they are told to “seek the welfare of the city” and pray for it.
This message teaches us that, even in challenging circumstances, we are called to be a blessing wherever God places us. God does not ask us to run away from hardship, but rather to work for the good of the place where we live.
We are meant to be a light, caring not only for ourselves but for the well-being of our community.
Pray for the City: God also tells us to pray for the city. This shows the power of prayer. When we pray for our city, we invite God’s presence to work in the lives of the people around us. Our prayers can bring peace, justice, and healing to the place we live.
Whether we live in a large city or a small village, God hears our prayers and answers when we ask for the good of others.
Our Welfare is Connected to Others: This means that when we seek the good of others, we also receive blessings.
When the city is blessed, when there is peace and prosperity, we also benefit. God designed us to live in community, and when we work together for the good of the whole, everyone is blessed.
We are connected to one another, and the love we show brings blessings to all, including ourselves.
God calls us to be a blessing wherever we are, seeking the welfare of the place . remember our work place is a sacred place. In doing so, God blesses us and works through us to spread His love and peace to those around us.
