Showers have been marring multiple venues of IPL 2026, with BCCI and other stakeholders staring at massive financial losses. While the conditions were seemingly dry before the game, rain has delayed the toss for the fixture between the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 10, Friday at the Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Hence, viewers seemed to be interested for the minimum overs that the game needs to produce the result.

How many overs does IPL 2026 RCB vs RR game needs to produce a result?

According to rules, five overs must be bowled by a side each to produce a result. Nevertheless, rain currently continues to fall in Guwahati, making the fans and players at the stadium wait. The venue had witnessed rain during Tuesday’s clash between the Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals but a 11-over contest was made possible, with the latter winning by 27 runs after blasting 150, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s unbeaten 77 off 32 deliveries.

It remains to be seen whether the game between the Royals and RCB can start at any point. It’s also worth noting that the game at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) has already been washed out.

What is the head-to-head record between the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL?

Since the 2008 edition, the two sides have battled one another on 34 occasions. The Royal Challengers hold a narrow lead, winning 17 games but three of them have ended in no result. The Royals and Royal Challengers are two of the three sides to not have lost a game so far in IPL 2026 alongside the Punjab Kings.

RCB, who are the defending champions, defeated the SunRisers Hyderabad in a home game by gunning down a chase of 201 with ease. Bengaluru proceeded to beat the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium as the latter conceded 250 for the first time in history. Meanwhile, the Royals, led by Riyan Parag, defeated the Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans to start their campaign, followed by beating the Mumbai Indians.
