New Delhi: Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts to maintain relations with the Donald Trump administration in the United States of America (USA), saying that the world would think tomorrow what India thinks today. He said that India and US together are a “force multiply”.
The Minister said, “What India thinks today, the world will think tomorrow. The government has faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Speaking on tariffs being imposed by the Donald Trump administration, Goyal said that India and US were not in competition, but can provide directions to the world together. He added that the strengths of India bring as much to the table as the US does with its high-tech innovations.
“I want to say there is friendship between PM Modi and Trump. Trump has said in a presser that he considers PM Modi a close friend. They welcomed PM Modi in Washington. India and the USA are not in competition but can join hands to give new directions to the world. After all, the strengths we have, including young people, bring as much to the table as the US does with its high-tech innovation. India and the US together are a force multiplier,” the Union Minister said.
Goyal highlighted that India produced the most Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) graduates in the world and around 43 per cent of them are women. He said that the democracy, rule of law and independent judiciary encourages investments and partnerships in the country.
“India creates the most STEM graduates in the world, where 43 per cent of them are girls. This power of India attracts the world towards us. PM Modi is providing us with decisive representation.
