Chandni Chowk is one of Delhi’s most densely populated markets. Known for its charm for reasons like attires, special cuisine and ethnicity, it has also become one of the most popular venue for hotels and restaurants.

Seeing the hustle-bustle of the locality, hospitality firm ITC has launched its latest refurbished hotel under its series called WelcomeHeritage located in Chandni Chowk, in the heart of India’s Capital city. Welcome heritage is specialized for its design like traditional haveli, magnificent forts and heritage buildings into majestic hotels. This hotel chain offers more than forty heritage destinations in different states of the country like ranging from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and many other places.

WelcomHeritage, a joint venture between ITC Ltd. and Jodhana Heritage will provide you with some of the best traditions of heritage hospitality and tourism which promises to give larger than life experience to its visitors.

This time historic small mansion in Delhi has been converted into a boutique hotel designed to appeal to high-end customers, which is known as Welcome Heritage Haveli Dharampura.

WelcomHeritage’s properties are also known for their beautiful gardens, peaceful surroundings, traditional ambience and well-decorated rooms full of antiques and ethnic furniture. It aims to set high standards in hospitality industry with its unique charm and affordable experience to its customers.

The heritage property is now owned by Parliament member Vijay Goel.  It is approximately 130 year old building which is situated in close proximity from the historical Jama Masjid. The surroundings of the Haveli still bear the evidences of history through its physical features. Brackets, balconies, jharokas, multifoliated arched gateway, carved sandstone facades, wooden doorway from the virtual of the approach can be seen inspired from the Mughal and Rajasthani architecture. Its finest variety of décor will leave its visitors mesmerised. The intricate and beautiful décor also takes in with the old city environment wonderfully.

Similarly, Haveli Dharampura with one of its thirteen bedroom suites includes Jharokha rooms, Diwan E Khas rooms and Shahjahan suites. The suites have been carefully and elegantly designed with the latest furnishings and facilities, while maintaining their aesthetic look and taste of early 17th century architecture.

The Haveli Dharampura with its distinctive features is attributed as Late Mughal style.  During Mughal and late Mughal period, a large numbers of havelis were built by the courtiers. This Haveli in particular dates to 1887 AD and was originally designed to have mixed use of both residential and commercial.

The property aims to reflect India’s golden era of Royals, Maharajas, Princes and Queens who used to reside in stunning architecturally designed palaces.
