SRINAGAR: On the instructions of Prime Minister, Amit Shah held a high level security meeting on Friday and has slated another meeting on Sunday which would be attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

After reviewing security situation of Jammu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the security grid to deploy full spectrum of counter-terror capabilities to minimize such attacks.
Prime Minister Modi also talked to Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. He was given a full overview of the security-related situation of Jammu and Kashmir and the counter-terrorism operations being undertaken by the armed forces.

On the instructions of Prime Minister, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high level security meeting on Friday and has slated another meeting on Sunday which would be attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

Prime Minister Modi has thus far remained silent after the attacks forcing the security experts to guess that there will be a befitting reply to all these attacks conducted in the past few days in South of Pir Panchal in Jammu region.

Unified command recently held a high level meeting after the terror attacks in Jammu, and is now focusing on the safety of pilgrims for the coming Amarnath Yatra which will start by the end of June this month.

Senior security officers told the media that an area domination exercise would be conducted in the twin routes of Pahalgam and Sonmarg in Kashmir valley and more troops will be deployed on Srinagar-Jammu highway to minimize the possibility of any attack.
Jammu and Kashmir DGP R.R Swain after the four attacks in Jammu said that security forces will give a befitting reply to these attacks very soon.

It is in place to mention that terrorists attacked at four spots in Reasi, Kathua and Doda District of Jammu division.

Apart from Reasi, terrorists had opened fire in a village in Kathua district on Tuesday. On Wednesday, a cop was injured in Doda district when they attacked a police picket, and an army camp was attacked, injuring five Army personnel.

On Sunday, terrorists had opened fire at a pilgrim bus carrying pilgrims from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, when it was headed to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra from the Shiv Khori temple. The bus plunged into a gorge, killing nine people and injuring dozens of pilgrims.

J&K Police Chief R.R Swain said that after getting some leads they have detained 50 people and are expecting to crack the incidents and the persons responsible for such attacks.

Already politics is playing its role after the attacks as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming under attack for not acting and conducting surgical strikes.

Most of the political parties including Shiv Sena UBT have criticized authorities for being complacent against the terrorists and acting against opposition.

Former Chief Minister and National Conference patron Dr. Farooq Abdullah has said that no surgical strikes have deterred Pakistan from sending militants.

He said that dialogue is the only way out to stop such attacks and said that Modi’s policy has failed in Jammu and Kashmir.
