After the Centre formed a committee headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind to explore the possibility of “One Nation, One Election”, discussions have started in Haryana. Along with the BJP organization, the central leadership has started taking the feedback of the government. In Delhi, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and BJP state president O.P. Dhankhar, along with BJP in-charge Biplab Deb, discussed the announcement of the Centre.

During discussions, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar highlighted the achievements of the government so far, while party president O.P. Dhankhar shared information about the work being done regarding the organization. The party’s organization general secretary Phanindranath Sharma was also present in this meeting. The strategy to form the BJP government for the third time was discussed in the meeting. Earlier, this meeting was to be held in Gurugram, but due to the CM being busy, it was held at the residence of BJP in-charge Biplab Kumar Deb in Delhi.

The work of the government was reviewed in the meeting. In the Monsoon Session of the Vidhan Sabha, discussions were held on the replies given by the CM on the issues raised by the Opposition. Discussion was also held on the government’s decision to give 20% reservation in promotion to Class I and II Dalit officers. The Chief Minister shared the feedback coming from the mass dialogue programmes. Also, preparations for simultaneous elections in the country under “One Nation-One Election” were discussed.

After the meeting of the small group, several political issues were also discussed separately between Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and party in-charge Biplab Deb; before this, in the meeting of Lok Sabha and district level party members in Gurugram, the target was set to register victory for the third consecutive time in 2024 elections. The party wants to repeat the success of 2014 and 2019 in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections to be held next year.
