New Delhi: The landing test of aircrafts which was supposed to commence from Friday at the Noida International Airport, Jewar in Greater Noida is not happening as per the schedule.

A few days back Arun Veer Singh, CEO of Noida International Airport Limited told media that second stage of trials will begin on November 15 and will last till December 15.

According to him, flights of Akasa, Air India and Indigo are expected to take off and land daily in this period for the trial operations.

Sources in the Noida International Airport told The Sunday Guardian on anonymity that “No test operations are commencing from tomorrow. We also got to know about the beginning of test operations from media only. There is no such plan as of now.”

Talking about the possibile schedule, the source added that “We don’t have a particular day but according to our expectations, the test operations would begin by the end of this month.”

When being asked to confirm this, neither Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) nor Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) replied.

With regards to the beginning of full time operations, if all goes as planned, Noida International Airport is expected to open its doors to commercial flights on April 17, 2025.
