Cool Breeze: New Deputy LoP?

New Deputy LoP?
With the current Deputy Leader of Opposition Captain Amarinder Singh being appointed Pradesh Congress Committee chief of Punjab, the party is toying with the idea of replacing him in the Lok Sabha, for the good Captain has always let it be known that his heart is back home in Pubjab and not in the capital. In the race to replace the Captain in the Lok Sabha are two candidates, both of whom are from Madhya Pradesh — Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Both are articulate speakers and well versed with parliamentary politics. Interestingly, another vacancy may also come up concerning both Nath and Scindia. That of the PCC in Madhya Pradesh, as the Congress is not happy with the current incumbent. So it remains to be seen who goes where.
Slip of Tongue
Congress leader Ashwani Kumar recently, in the heat of an argument, referred to BJP MP Babul Supriyo as Supriya Sule by mistake. A surprised Babul then replied, “It’s ok if you change my name but at least don’t change my gender.” This was one argument that Kumar was happy to concede.
Seen in Central Hall
There was much speculation when Sushma Swaraj made a surprise appearance in the Central Hall of Parliament, for she is rarely seen there. This guest appearance had journalists wondering at to which breaking news of the week had her so curious that she came to the Central Hall for some off the record banter and information.
