NEW DELHI: Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma, while welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the gathering to inaugurate NewsX World at the NXT global forum 2025, spoke about the last 10 years under the PM’s visionary leadership.
He highlighted India’s journey as the world’s fastest-growing economy to a nation known for innovation, infrastructure, inclusivity, and resilience. “Every step we have taken has been guided by the bold vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, something never envisioned by anyone earlier,” he said. “It’s an honour to have you all here,” Kartikeya Sharma said, addressing an audience that included leaders, thinkers, and innovators from across the world. “At NewsX, we’ve always believed journalism isn’t just about breaking news—it’s about building conversations that matter. Today, as we launch NewsX World, we are not just unveiling a channel; we are creating a space where change makers from every corner of the world can come together to exchange ideas and inspire action.”
In his speech, he spoke about Bharat’s journey—a story of ambition, resilience, and bold imagination. “We are not only the fastest-growing economy, we are a nation that has repeatedly redefined what’s possible. From building world-class infrastructure to becoming a beacon of inclusivity and innovation, Bharat’s story is proof that big dreams, backed by courage, can reshape reality.”
This belief, he explained, is at the heart of NXT. “NXT is more than an event or a platform. It’s an invitation—to thinkers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and creators—to come together and design the future we want to see.”
He spoke passionately about the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the ancient Indian philosophy that sees the world as one family. “At a time when the world often feels divided, NXT stands for something very simple—the belief that progress comes not from competition, but from collaboration. The solutions we need today will only emerge if we work together.”
Kartikeya Sharma also linked this to Prime Minister Modi’s vision of Vishwa Mitra Bharat—an India that doesn’t just succeed alone, but helps the world succeed too. Reflecting on the Chandrayaan landing, Sharma quoted Star Trek: “To boldly go where no one has gone before.” That moment, he said, wasn’t just about space, it was about who we are becoming as a nation. “We showed the world that Bharat is ready to dream without limits.”
Throughout the NXT forum, some of the brightest minds in science, space, and technology—from astronauts to futurists—shared their visions for the future. For Sharma, this was more than just programming; it was a statement about India’s place in the world—not as a follower, but as a pioneer.
There was also a strong sense of purpose when Sharma spoke about controlling India’s narrative. “In a country as diverse and complex as ours, it’s not enough to let others tell our story. We need to tell it ourselves, with honesty, with pride, and with all the nuance our history and culture deserve.”
With real-time coverage in 25 languages and a network of experienced journalists across continents, NewsX World aims to be a platform that doesn’t just follow the global conversation, it helps shape it.
“As storytellers, our responsibility isn’t just to inform—it’s to make sense of the world, to bring people closer, to help them see each other more clearly,” Sharma said. “That’s what NewsX World is about. Through authentic stories and fearless journalism, we’re not just adding another voice—we’re helping create a dialogue where every voice matters.”
