Delhi Congress blames AAP and BJP for deteriorating law and order in the capital

New Delhi: Targetting AAP government in Delhi and the the Union Government for deteriorating law and order in the national capital, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devender Yadav on Thursday said that “Neither AAP nor BJP’s Central government seem concerned about the security of the people as both these parties were playing cheap election stunts to mislead the people.”

Ahead of the high stakes Delhi Assembly elections that are likely to happen in February 2025, political parties including both the AAP and Congress are blaming the Central government for the worsening law and order in the national capital with incidences of murders, extortion calls and others getting reported everyday.

Congress which has lost its political space in Delhi post-Sheila Dikshit era has been trying to re-energise it’s cadre and has been raising the issues of increase in crime rate, corruption and pollution.

“Criminals have no fear of the police now as they commit heinous crimes for petty reasons to create terror among people as no one seems to be in control of law and order in the Capital”, said Devender Yadav.

Taking a jibe at the former Delhi’s Chief Minister and supremo of AAP Arvind Kejriwal for making several poll announcements including the one on freebies, Yadav said “while Kejriwal was busy making freebie announcements after installing a dummy Chief Minister who cannot control anything under her command, BJP leaders were playing election stunts with the Union Home Ministry leaving Delhiites to their own fate.”

The Congress party, which has not been able to open its account in the last two Assembly polls has been trying to fill that space and also launched the month long ‘Delhi Nyay Yatra’ which concluded last week to galvanise it’s cadre.
