Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai, who is facing corruption charges, has resigned, official sources said on Tuesday.
The transport ministry has been given to Health and PWD Minister Satyendra Jain, the sources said.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sources did not say why Rai had quit, but said he had stepped down “due to health reasons”.
Rai had said on Monday that he was prepared to go to jail if charges of corruption in an app-based premium bus service scheme were proved. He was to go to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday.
