KOTA: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma handed over appointment letters to over 7,800 newly selected employees during the Chief Minister’s Employment Festival & Youth Conference, held at Dussehra Ground in Kota as part of the Rajasthan Day celebrations. The event also marked the launch of the “Chief Minister’s Educated Rajasthan Campaign.” A video related to the campaign was screened, and the campaign brochure was released.
During his address, the Chief Minister emphasised the state government’s efforts to ensure that the youth contribute significantly to the state’s development and nation-building. He mentioned that the government is consistently working to provide employment opportunities and support the progress of youth. He highlighted that the government is accelerating its commitment to creating 10 lakh employment opportunities in both the government and private sectors. Job fairs and campus placements are being organised at district headquarters so that youth across regions can find opportunities suited to their qualifications.

The Chief Minister also remarked that the seven-day Rajasthan Day Festival is dedicated to the state’s women, youth, farmers, and the poor. He added that, along with providing employment to youth, the government is promoting entrepreneurship to make them employable. On this occasion, the Chief Minister launched two apps related to the education department and also inaugurated on-demand exams under RSOS (Rajasthan State Open School), along with the Digital Admission Festival. The Youth Policy and Skill Policy, guidelines for private sector employment assistance schemes, and land allotment instructions for Dronacharya Awardees were also released at the event. The Chief Minister also reviewed an exhibition organised under the employment fair.
Sharma criticised the previous government, stating that the youth faced injustice and exploitation at every step. He pointed out that paper leaks shattered their dreams. As soon as the government took office, an SIT (Special Investigation Team) was formed to investigate paper leak scandals, bringing the paper leak mafia to justice and ensuring fairness for the youth. The CM also mentioned the launch of the Skill Policy and Youth Policy. The former aims to provide modern skills to youth according to industry needs, while the latter serves as a roadmap for the holistic development of youth, covering all aspects of their growth. He stressed that his government has already released 16 policies within the first year, demonstrating its commitment to results-driven governance.

He also stated the government’s efforts to create job opportunities in the private sector. In the first year itself, the “Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit” was organised, which received investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore. These proposals are rapidly turning into tangible investments, creating employment for people.
The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of education for national development, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s National Education Policy-2020.
