Delhi Police and other security agencies are on high alert in the national capital, in view of the Ram Lalla consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22 and the Republic Day celebrations on January 26, the sources said.

Security arrangements for both the coming events are nearing completion, they said adding that a three-tier security system would be put in place to avoid any untoward incident.
Extra vigilance will be kept in vulnerable locations such as Jahangirpuri, Azadpur, Seelampur, Okhla, Chandwan, Khajuro, Mustafabad, Shiv Vihar, Jaffrabad, Maujpur, Brahmpuri, Trilokpuri, and Jamia.

According to sources associated with intelligence agencies, a coordination meeting will soon be held with the police of the states adjacent to Delhi regarding security.
The Delhi Police is keeping an eye on anti-social elements with a criminal background to maintain law and order especially during both the events. Necessary guidelines have also been given to all the district police regarding this.

A police official said that strict action would be taken against those who would be found involved in making any kind of wrong comment, inciting religious or communal sentiments, and other anti-social activities. The police are constantly keeping an eye on social media for that. Sixty Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) companies along with 50,000 Delhi Police personnel are being deputed in the national capital for ensuring security.
