BJP has only the ‘law and order’ issue to raise.

JAIPUR

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is in action from his residence nowadays to ensure a repeat of the Congress’ government in Rajasthan. His campaign to implement the schemes is still underway. Gehlot’s new slogan is, “It is my guarantee that all remaining demands and promises will be fulfilled after the polls.”

Earlier, Gehlot’s slogan was “You will be tired of demanding, I will never get tired of giving you.” Gehlot worked tirelessly, fulfilling his guarantees and promises in the past. He approved schemes on the spot during the Bachat Rahat camps which lasted three months. Gehlot’s schemes to give relief to the common man are the talk of the town. BJP is clueless on how to counter these schemes. Therefore, the saffron party remains focused only on the issues of women’s safety and law and order.

If sources are to be believed, MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan is also likely to announce some schemes for government employees and people under BPL on the line of Gehlot’s initiatives. In fact, Gehlot has been toiling for over the last two years to change Rajasthan’s tradition to alternate between Congress and BJP. While working single-handedly on this mission, Gehlot faced challenges from within the party and outside it. Even his opponents and adversaries were forced to admire Gehlot’s works.

Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra” in fact gave strength to Gehlot. Rahul Gandhi not only heaped praise on Gehlot’s schemes, but also asked other Congress-ruled states to follow them. All Congress ruled states are working on implementation of the Old Pension Scheme, free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh, gas cylinder at Rs 500, free power, loan waiver for farmers, etc.

Gehlot continues to give relief to people. He announced that the historic Ramgarh Dam will be filled with water from the Isarda Dam under the East Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP). The government will spend Rs 1250 crore on this. Now, 53 dams of Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Bharatpur and Alwar districts will be connected with the project to provide water. The previous government had included 26 dams.

Free of cost Annapurna Ration kits will be provided to Covid affected families. The Rajasthan government will give a Rs 10,000 reward instead of Rs 5000 to good Samaritans who save lives by taking road accident victims to hospitals. This will be provided under Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojana. Mobile phones will be given to one crore more women under the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme. Guarantee cards will be distributed from 20 August on the basis of which phones will be given. Gehlot also announced Police Panchsati Medals to personnel from the constable to DGP level. Promotion in police services will be through time-bound DPC.

He has set the target to make Rajasthan No. 1. He announced Mission 2030 for this. Suggestions have been invited from state residents, economists, writers, journalists, students, government employees, lawyers, farmers, labourers, women, sportspersons, etc. Gehlot aims to take Rajasthan’s economy to 35.71 lakh crore in 2023 from present Rs 14.14 lakh. He started distribution of Annapurna food packets to 1.10 crore families. The Rajasthan government has decided to send 1 lakh people for pilgrimage. The beneficiaries are being sent to Nepal for darshan of Pashupatinath. Poor people were sent to Nepal by air. Schemes to make women self-reliant have been launched. Chorus to implement the Right to Health scheme, which was launched by Gehlot, is growing in other states too. People in Rajasthan now think that if the Gehlot government does not return, then all schemes will be abolished.
