Trudeau presides over Khalistani madness

Top 5Trudeau presides over Khalistani madness

Blaming India for every criminal incident in Canada is laughable, when Trudeau’s pet thugs control that country’s streets.

New Delhi: The Khalistani attack on the Hindu temple in Canada’s Brampton was not just meant to assault the Indian high commission staff who had organised a camp there to give life certificates to pensioners, but was also intended to assault the devotees who had gathered there. It amounted to crossing a red line that no one thought that they would cross. However, it is perhaps not that much of a surprise that this red line was crossed given that they have the full backing of the Canadian state. One of their fellow travellers, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has been boasting that he has been advising Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on India. Pannun is not only guilty of acts of terrorism in India, but also threatens assassination of Indian leaders and attack on Indian Parliament, apart from advising passengers not to travel by any Indian airline, implying that they would be attacked. But in spite of such incendiary threats zero action is taken against him either by Canada or by the United States, both of whose citizenship Pannun enjoys. The fig leaf of freedom of speech is used to give cover to his reprehensible actions. The same “freedom” excuse is given to turn a blind eye to the Khalistani threats of assassinating the Indian high commissioner to Canada or to vandalise statues and temples. No action is ever taken against these thugs in the belief that they can mobilise their community to vote for a particular party. This bug has bitten not just Khalistani facilitator Justin Trudeau, but also opposition leader Pierre Poilievre, who cancelled a Diwali celebration on the advice of his Khalistani advisors, thus discriminating against Hindus massively. In fact these politicians have allowed the Khalistanis to infiltrate the ranks of the government, including the police, as a result of which the Brampton attack on Hindus saw members of this Hindu community being detained, while the actual attackers were allowed to go scot-free. What sort of a rule of law does this G7 country practise that such criminal activities are allowed to the extent of being condoned?

There was some condemnation of the attack, both from the ruling government and the opposition. But it was a token one and did not mention the perpetrators of the violence. It was only a Liberal MP, Chandra Arya who asserted that “The attack by Khalistanis on the Hindu-Canadian devotees inside the premises of the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton shows how deep and brazen has Khalistani violent extremism has become in Canada. I begin to feel that there is a small grain of truth in the reports that in addition to Canadian political apparatus, Khalistanis have effectively infiltrated into our law enforcement agencies.” But then don’t forget that Pannun and his gang have been trying to portray Chandra Arya as a traitor to Canada and now Arya himself faces threats of violence from the Khalistanis.

What happened in Brampton is a manifestation of the rot in the Khalistan movement, which comprises gangsters, thugs and terrorists. If Canada is the gateway of narcotics to the West, the Khalistanis are responsible for that in a big way. Gaganpreet Randhawa was the man who arrested in Canada’s largest drug bust on 31 October. It was from his “drugs superlab” that over 95.5 million doses of fentanyl were found, which according to the Canadian police “could have taken the lives of every Canadian, at least twice over”. A huge cache of weapons was recovered as well, apart from various other drugs. Khalistani gangsters have made gang wars their calling card. It is believed that terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was killed in one such gang war. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has warned Canada enough—that it is providing shelter to the worst kind of criminals fleeing from India, for political reasons. So is it a surprise that in areas that are dominated by Khalistanis, rampant street violence is the order of the day? The Trudeau government has been giving them a free pass, but this has started to backfire, as the drug bust incident showed. Blaming India for every criminal incident in Canada is laughable, when Trudeau’s pet thugs control that country’s streets. And to think it is to appease these people that Trudeau destroyed his country’s relationship with the world’s largest democracy. In the process, he has painted a target on the back of every Hindu in Canada. The temple attack is a manifestation of that.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on Monday, “I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. Equally appalling are the cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats. Such acts of violence will never weaken India’s resolve. We expect the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.” This is a legitimate demand. But how can there be justice when Trudeau has decided to portray India as an enemy country destroying Canada? He will instead allow the Khalistanis to attack Hindus and Indian interests. It’s a case of the firefighter himself being the arsonist. Hence, it is now incumbent on Indians, particularly Hindus, keen to study in Canada or to migrate, to look at alternate destinations. The government should nudge them away from Canada, which will land a blow to Canada’s economy. Canada is no longer safe for Hindus. Let that message be never forgotten.
