Indian media is now in the crosshairs of foreign forces

NewsIndian media is now in the crosshairs of foreign forces

Justin Trudeau, by targeting India, is trying to save himself and China.

New Delhi: Western countries like Canada, America, Britain on one hand are seen praising India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fighting terrorism, increasing economic relations and bringing war-torn countries to the brink of peace talks, while on the other hand they themselves are providing shelter and protection to terrorists and anti-India organizations. The climax is that Canada and America, members of the G-7 group of prosperous countries, are also targeting Indian media in controversial cases of terrorist activities. Meaning, they want to use a large section of the Indian media as their puppets and pawns in the same manner as they adopted decades ago. If this does not happen, they are accusing the media institutions and journalists who justify the policies of India, the steps taken by the Modi government on security matters, of not only being Modi supporters but also baselessly accusing them of influencing the elections of Canada or America. Canada released an absurd report on Indian media by saying senior editors, by supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies and action against terrorist organizations will have an impact on Canadian politics and elections. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau himself, during his testimony before the Foreign Interference Commission, alleged that Indian media was used to attack Canada and its citizens. He claimed that after his statement in Parliament last year, in which he blamed India for the murder of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Indian government responded with attacks on Canada through its media. Trudeau said these efforts were aimed at undermining his government and the integrity of Canada’s democracy.
In fact, Justin Trudeau is badly trapped in the case of Chinese interference in the last elections. By targeting India, he wants to save himself and China. Voices of protest against him are getting louder in Canada. Rebellion in his own Liberal Party has intensified. There is a demand for his resignation. This is the reason why India is being targeted to get the support of Sikh voters and pro-Khalistan voters in Canada. Justin Trudeau is accused of winning the elections of 2019 and 2021 with foreign interference. He is facing investigation in this case. He appeared before the committee investigating foreign interference (China and Russia) in the elections of 2019 and 2021. Here he had to answer on Chinese interference in the Canadian elections. The commission started a public hearing in January 2024. China was considered the main accused in the investigation. It was claimed that Trudeau had taken help from China to win the election and influenced the election in his favour.
Trudeau should look into his own conscience and take a look at the media there. A Canadian newspaper has written that Trudeau gave an opportunity to extremist Sikhs to flourish in Canada and gave so much freedom to the diaspora that they started influencing their foreign policy. The Canadian media has called it an “unusual public statement”. The newspaper has written that Canada spoiled diplomatic relations without answering the questions raised by New Delhi. Trudeau did not take any action against the suspected Khalistani extremists, but instead lobbied for them in the diaspora. It has been written in the media that Canada gave an opportunity to Sikh extremists to flourish, they even celebrated the assassination of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, can this incident be said to be in the interest of Canada? Similarly, The National Telegraph has also written that Trudeau has disappointed again. He did not present any evidence on the basis of which it can be said that his allegations are correct. The newspaper has written that Trudeau’s action will cause economic loss to Canada and he is taking such a step only to please Jagmeet Singh and the Khalistani ministers. It has been said that sanctions will be imposed on India, but what will happen to the loss that Canada will suffer?
After spoiling diplomatic relations between India and Canada, Trudeau accepted that he did not have any authentic facts about Nijjar’s murder. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a terrorist nurtured in America, himself said that he was informing the Canadian government on India. On the other hand, America also started accusing Indian agencies etc. in the name of conspiracy to kill Pannun. It clearly means that America, which has been sheltering Khalistani terrorists for the last 30-40 years, is trying to pressurize the Indian government. Old journalists like us remember that Indira Gandhi and Shankar Dayal Sharma used to accuse the CIA of destroying political stability in India even before 1980. Senior journalist G.S. Chawla, who has a very close understanding of Punjab, and Vikram Sood, who was the head of the intelligence agency RAW, have written in detail about the facts of CIA’s support to the elements breaking the country in the name of Khalistan in their books long ago. American journalists or former CIA spies have also written in detail about using media as a weapon to topple foreign governments. Therefore, countries like America, Britain, Canada are now troubled by the fact that Indian media is no longer a puppet and Prime Ministers like Modi are able to face foreign powers on the basis of widespread public support.
After the incident of removal of Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned the public about international conspiracies in public programs. This issue should be taken seriously. Media institutions and organizations should also counter foreign propaganda. At the same time, it will be necessary for the government to use strict laws against those who enter the Indian media through the suspicious agencies and companies of America, China, Pakistan or become their pawns.
