In politics, in the judicial system and the media, a new code of ethics will have to be set and followed.

NEW DELHI: Recently a friend from London wanted to know from me what India’s political-economic status and power will be in the New Year, 2025. My answer was, “Now not only Britain and America but even countries like China and Iran have started trusting the predictions of astrologers or even computer technology AI. We do not do calculations like them. My experience is that the predictions made in India or abroad in the past decades have sometimes proved right and sometimes wrong. But looking at the current progress of India, I can say that in 2025, India’s political, social and economic power will not only increase but can play an important decisive role for the world.” As far as predictions are concerned, many predictions by France’s 16th century astrologer Nostradamus have come true, including events like the rise of Hitler and the 9/11 attacks. His claim on Covid also proved to be correct. He had made some predictions about the year 2025. If Nostradamus is to be believed, the coming year is going to be very difficult for the world. Nostradamus has warned about the Third World War in 2025, leading to devastation. Nostradamus also pointed to economic crisis. Mexico, the Latin American countries and Europe may be struggling with this. On the other hand, India’s famous swami and astrologer Yogeshwarananda has predicted that May 2025 will prove to be a turning point for India’s future. He talked about a rare astronomical event regarding 2025, which can bring big changes in the country, due to which India’s golden age will begin.

Being optimistic, journalists like us can say that despite all the shortcomings, disturbances, violence, agitation and corruption, India is not going to weaken. The year is going to start with the Maha Kumbh festival at Prayaagraj, which is going to connect crores of people with religious cultural faith. The Maha Kumbh is becoming grander due to increase in communication, transport and other resources. People from all over the world are going to reach Kashi, Ayodhya, Mathura, Agra, Delhi, Somnath Dwarka, Puri and Tirupati along with Prayaag. Similarly, on 26 January, in the parade ceremony, the world will see India’s growing modern military power and rapid economic progress, unity with social and cultural diversity. The benefits of the historic decisions taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, Parliament and Supreme Court in the last ten years and especially in 2024 will be visible in 2025. Due to regional autonomy and competition in the field of education and health, the benefits of increasing the education of girls and beneficial health schemes like Ayushman Bharat will be seen. People do not pay attention to the fact that even the most powerful President of the prosperous developed country America has not been able to implement the Obama Care health scheme. Similarly, in Britain, the National Health Service of the general public is in a bad shape. In case of illness, it takes several days to get an appointment with a doctor in an NHS hospital and there is a waiting list of months for serious operations. In India, apart from government or private hospitals or small clinics, Ayurvedic naturopathy centres are available. The family of King Charles of Britain has been coming to India for naturopathy for the last two years. In 2025, apart from new schools, new colleges, universities along with skill development education centres will open the doors of future for millions of youth. With billions of rupees of domestic and foreign capital being invested in self-employment, start-ups, small, medium or large industries, India’s economic progress is going to influence the world.

The New Year will begin with the Delhi Assembly elections and the Bihar Assembly elections are to be held in the last quarter of the year. These two elections are going to determine the direction and future of the political parties of India in many ways. The future will be decided by the victory or defeat of Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal and Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal in Bihar. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi’s Congress will have to fight for its existence in Delhi and Bihar and at present it looks like a dark cave. The Bharatiya Janata Party will have the challenge of achieving huge success in these two states like Haryana and Maharashtra along with appointing a new president. Just as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah took historic steps to abolish Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and implemented reservation for women in legislatures, in the same way, there will be a challenge to create new history by getting maximum support for their goals of Uniform Civil Code and One Country One Election and getting approval from Parliament. These decisions will have far-reaching consequences.

The impact of India’s close relations with the new US President Donald Trump and Russian President Putin on equal level will be visible in the New Year. Its benefits will have a profound impact on relations with neighbouring China and Pakistan. In the economic world, many international organizations including the World Bank are expressing hope that India’s economic power will increase in the next ten years from 2025 and till 2047. An interesting thing is that the Nobel Prize winning economist, who is currently indifferent to the Indian government, had claimed many years ago in Oxford University that “European countries should learn a lot from India for economic development. Especially the efforts to balance the fiscal deficit can be a lesson for Europe and America.” Therefore, in the coming year, India does not have to just dream but also make dreams come true. For this, not only in political parties and the electoral system, but also in the judicial system and the media, a new code of ethics will have to be set and followed. Credibility is the biggest power in democracy. The time is coming to prove the ability to become a world leader. Advance best wishes for the New Year 2025.
